The actual structures of the Cully Jazz Festival
The Cully Jazz Festival is organised by an association with a non-lucrative goal. From this association is issued an Organisational Committee in which the members, all voluntary, take in charge all the aspects of the life of the Festival.
Disposing of no guaranty of deficit, the organisers decided in 1987 to create the Foundation Lavaux-Cully-Jazz, like a “life insurance” for the Festival. The Foundation, structure totally independent of the Festival, upholds the Organisational Committee by giving its financial support and its advices. By creating “the Friends of the CJF”, the Foundation Council wished to widen its help to the Organisational Committee.

New person new job, Jean-Yves is the youngest membre of the committee, while studying at the university, he is responsible for the off festival and the internet site.

General Coordination
Benoît saw the Festival getting bigger, as the Festival saw Benoît growing up! Present for the first editions as a staff member, comity member since 1994, Benoît is always full of new ideas and projects to assure a better future for the CJF. In addition of being in charge of the Festival’s general coordination…and other connected tasks, Benoît accepted the presidency of the Association after the departure of Emmanuel Gétaz.

Next Step’s DJ
Little are the people who know Jean-Pascal Mages. But, when you talk about JP from “Couleur 3”, then it is different! This charming young man bounces since a couple of years, between radios studios and cultural events. Music passionate and full of new ideas, JP takes part this year in the comity as responsible of DJ’s programming for the Next Step. So, when the Next Step opens its doors at 9.30pm for long festive nights at the rhythm of the DJ’s music, you have to shout Thank you JP!!!

Festival In
Carine is just 35 years old, but the show business has no secret for her! This music passionate is also one of the “oldest” of the Festival. Staff member since 1994, it is in 1997 that she integrates the comity. First as programming manager for the Festival Off and co-programmer of the Festival In, Carine devotes herself exclusively to this last mission, for the biggest pleasure of the visitors who can, years after years, appreciate concerts of quality at the Chapiteau, Next Step, and the Temple of Cully.
The Festival’s office
The committee, as motivated as a voluntary group can be, could not assume the organisation of an event this big without the daily work of a professional dealing with multiple tasks. This structure is the Festival’s office, composed of four persons very capable in a lot of areas, and working from September until April.
