Cully Jazz takes a stand for the future

The Festival’s environmental charter

Aware of the environmental impacts that the event generates, the Cully Jazz Festival is looking for ways to limit and control them.

The Cully Jazz Festival has thus come up with an environmental charter. It is committed to observing the following points and to improve them so as to promote them actively through all its collaborators and partners.

Resource management

The Festival is aware that the activities it organizes produce waste. It is looking for ways to reduce the volume of non-recyclable waste. To do so, the Cully Jazz is committed to:

- Separating its recyclables.
- Using recyclable resources
- Cutting down on different sources of excess waste.

Energy consumption

The festival is aware that the activities it organizes need different forms of energy, which each have a specific impact on the environment. We are looking for ways to minimize our energy consumption and to use sustainable energy. To do so, the Cully Jazz is committed to:

- Using the equipment on the market that is the less energy consuming.
- Using energy that comes from sustainable sources.
- Eliminating excess energy consumption.

Transportation

The festival is aware that its biggest impact on the environment is transporting festival-goers and partners to and from the venue. So as to change this, the Cully Jazz is committed to:

- Increasing public awareness on public transportation.
- Making these means of transportation available to the different users… incidentally, if you would like to use the most ecological way of getting to the festival, go check out http://www.routerank.com/fr-fr/widget/

Increasing user awareness

The festival is aware that its ecological ambitions cannot be achieved without the help of all of its participants. So as to make this possible the Cully Jazz is committed to:

- Increasing ecological awareness in staff members so as to give them a sense of responsibility.
- Collaborating with the different towns, associations and businesses linked to the festival.
- Developing means of implementing and communicating these principals to all participants.

To fully achieve its goals of respecting and improving the environmental management of the festival, the Organizational Comity has created a special celll to edict and renew the principles of the festival’s environmental impact management, to put them into place and to see to it that they are respected.
